We don’t just do furniture at Barnaby’s; no sir (or madam/madamoiselle). We have lots of smaller stuff, whatever takes our fancy; here an antique jug, a vintage hatstand or a retro lamp, there an upcycled coathook rack, a handmade heart blackboard or an unusual kitchen implement. Then there are mirrors of many styles and eras and smaller pieces of furniture like occasional tables, plant stands or bathroom cabinets. If we’ve been on a french trip, there might be a selection of objets d’art, maybe a wine rack or two, or something rustic and agricultural.

Add to that ranges of handmade craft items made by local artisans and it suddenly sounds like just getting into the shop is near impossible. Yet somehow we manage it..
